Overall Objective

The overall objective of the assignment was to assist the Government of Botswana in its efforts to deliver efficient and effective public services to the citizens of Botswana and to create an enabling environment for economic diversification.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives of the assignment was to assist the Public Sector Reform Coordination Office (PSRCO) in the Office of the President and relevant stakeholders in further supporting the individual government reforms and developing the PSR coordination and support instruments to strengthen implementation of on-going reforms, facilitate the realisation of synergies among them, and provide room for coordination with upcoming reforms in the public sector.

Another specific objective of the assignment was to identify areas for potential public sector "dialogues" or/and partnerships between the Government of Botswana counterparts and European or other stakeholders with experience in reform efforts similar to the ones on-going in Botswana. These could potentially be supported under the EDF 11 Dialogue Facility Instrument that is expected to become available in 2018.
