Privacy Policy

ICE group has deep respect for privacy of yours, and undertakes significant efforts to secure digital personal information. We implement necessary measures of data security for two fundamental principles: in order to meet expectations of individuals regarding their personal data, and to comply with existing laws and regulations related to data protection. Especially, this privacy policy is prepared to fit in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation of the EU.

What do we collect?

In order to provide services, we collect personal and professional information about individuals and organizations. Information we collect may be in the form of:

Personal Info

  • Name
  • Postal and e-mail address
  • Phone numbers
  • Social media accounts (Facebook, Skype and such)
  • Website URL
  • Availability
  • Basic information about the company you are related
  • Professional experience and achievements
  • Media presenting your profile and achievements

* When financial transactions occur, we also need to store such information as VAT and IBAN. And for the organizations we work with (donors, beneficiaries, consultancy organizations, suppliers), information we collect may extend to:

  • Phone numbers
  • E-mail addresses
  • Contact history

* Although we don’t require the collection of any sensitive information that is related to ethnicity, political opinion and such, comments or contents that may reveal such information and is uploaded by you on an optional basis is under your responsibility.

Cookies

Cookies are very small text files kept in your own computer to enhance the experience and functionality of a website. We use cookies for multiple purposes such as keeping your computer logged on, and for collecting anonymous data about usage of our platform to create analyses.

Statistical Data

In order to take data-driven decisions, we may collect impersonal information about your behaviors on our platform. Examples are which buttons are clicked more, or how long does an average user spend time on a page.

Why do we collect data?

Primary reason for us to store personal data is to nominate experts with suitable background to tenders and awarded projects, always with the prior written consent of the expert. The data we collect from organizations are utilized for potential cooperation opportunities. In any way, your data is not subject to any automation process that leads to affect decision-making.

With whom do we share your information?

In normal conditions, your data is not shared with any third party and kept securely in internal network of ICE. There are a few exceptions for us to share your information with third parties. Part of the data we collect may be accessible by ICE’s staff or a partnering organization outside of the European Economic Area if there is operational necessity. Financial data is only used for the accord to principles of respective contract may require, and to comply with obligations of Belgian legal authorities. We do share data only if it is necessary to protect legitimate interests of ICE and/ or it is required or permitted by law.

How long we keep your data?

We do not keep personal for longer than it is necessary for the purposes which it was collected.

Security of your data

We handle all personal data we have in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and existing legal regulations. We undertake adequate measures to keep your data secure. Examples of the measures we took are end-to-end encryption, firewalls, regular back-ups, password protections and such. However, transmission of the data over the internet cannot be completely secure and taking adequate measures for client-side security is at your own responsibility. For a start, please follow this. Your rights

As user of our platform, you have the rights to be informed what we do with your data, to access it, to make us rectify if you think that data about you is false or missing, to get it erased (to be forgotten), to restrict us from processing it and to transfer your data to another data processor or controller. Also, please note that once you restrict or ask for erasure of your personal data, we cannot offer you the services which you enjoyed before.
