Identification and formulation of a CSO Program under EDF 11

The objective of this consultancy mission is to design a set of actions constituting the EU’s supports to Civil Society Organisations to be implemented with the resources mobilised under 11th EDF (2014 –  2020) as from 2016 onwards.

For each of the two phases, the specific objectives will be the following:

Identification of a CSO-programme giving a comprehensive overview of the state of play of the various areas identified with a focus on farming and non-farming activities, environment and natural resources, employment and social  protection  in  Ghana. The main civil society players and their fields of intervention, strategies, programmes and existing flagship projects carried out as well as a stakeholder analysis (institutional capacity assessment).

Formulation of a CSO programme with the objective of organising the consultation to further prepare and fine-tune an Action Document (AD) according to the QSG recommendations.

Phase 1: Identification of the CSO-programme

Inception meeting and working plan with preliminary desk study related to the definition of the concepts according to the existing literature and best practices known in the Sub Sahara Africa, regarding rural development/agriculture, sustainable agriculture and environment, employment generation and social protection.

Phase 2: Formulation of the CSO-programme

Refining of proposed actions listed in the PIF taking into account the outputs received from the QSG. Designing of  the AD  and annexes according to required formats
