Projects

The overall objective of the project, of which this contract will be a part, is to contribute to the reduction of poverty, through the modernization of the electricity sector in Liberia by implementing the necessary reforms and promoting the private sector investments. 

 The purpose of the intervention is to contribute to the global objective, by the better management of the electricity sector and the liberalization of the electricity sector. It is foreseen that the above-mentioned purpose will be reached through a 3-year Technical Assistance for Capacity Building and Institutional Support to the newly created Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC), which shall be put on fast-track to achieve quickly full and efficient operation.
